There are
three parts to The Europe Region WAGGGS. These are: the European
Guide Conference, the Europe Committee WAGGGS and the Europe Office.
The European
Guide Conference is the governing and policy-making body for Girl
Guiding /Girl Scouting at European level. Held every three years
and attended by delegates from each of our Member Organisations,
the Conference debates the policies of the Region and decides
the priorities for the next three years. Delegates approve the
Region's Strategic Plan and also elect the Europe Committee WAGGGS
to act on their behalf between each conference. The next European
Guide Conference will take place in Iceland in 2004.

The Europe Committee WAGGGS, on behalf of the World Board (link
to WAGGGS world web page on World Board), directs the work of
the Region, taking decisions supported by the staff in the Europe
Office. The Europe Committee meets at least twice a year to decide
on the priorities for the Region, to plan and evaluate the work
and take decisions on the way forward for the Region.

From time to time, the Europe Committee WAGGGS can also appoint
a Working Unit, a group of three or four people from the Region
who have expertise in a particular area, to oversee the implementation
of a specific project, such as the production of a tool-kit, or
to develop guidelines for a particular policy.
