The Europe Office WAGGGS is based in Brussels,
Belgium. The team currently consists of 8 people : the Regional
Executive, 3 Development Executives, a Marketing and External
Relations Executive as well as a part-time Communications
and Funding Officer. They work together with a Central Services
Administrator and a part-time Clerical assistant.
Staff at the Europe Office implement the decisions taken at
the European Conference and the Europe Committee meetings,
and assist the Committee to develop programmes and policies
to fulfil WAGGGS' mission.

Heather Roy Regional
Executive
|

As Regional Executive,Heather is responsible for the general
management of the Europe Office WAGGGS, and ensuring the implementation
of the Regions Strategic Plan. She is also responsible
for the development of quality Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting
in Europe, also liaising with the World Bureau of WAGGGS in
London, and the European Scout Region.

Stella Aaltonen
Development Executive
|

Stella is responsible for the development of Girl Guiding/Girl
Scouting in new countries, such as those belonging to the
CIS, liaising with Associations and organising tailored training
programmes designed to help them grow. She also manages seminars
organised by the Region, co-ordinating the work European Strategies
for Growth Group and following the Overtures Network.

Irene Rojnik
Development Executive

Irene supports the development of Associations with particular
emphasis on the areas of Programme and Training, including
the accreditation of their training schemes. She also is responsible
for managing seminars organised by the Region and co-ordinating
the work of the Resource Pool.

Silvia Lamonica
Temporary Development Executive (External Relations)

Silvia is repsonsable for Public Relations and External Communications.
She is responsable for co-operation and liason with External
Partners and Institutions and for the management of events
in the Europe Region.

Rosemary Hindle
Marketing and External Relations Executive

|
Rosemary is responsible for co-ordinating the External Relations
of the Europe Region WAGGGS, and liaising with the Regions
external partners such as the European Youth Forum and the
European Institutions. She is also responsible for organising
the annual Network meeting for Guide and Scout Representatives
(with the European Scout Region) and supporting the Regions
External Representatives.

Rita Waswani
Communications and Funding Officer

Rita works part time and is responsible for co-ordinating
some of the External Communications of the Europe Region WAGGGS
as well as researching and sourcing funding for both the Region
and National Associations within the Region.

Jeannette Umit -
Central Services Administrator

Jeannette is responsible for the co-ordination of the clerical
activities in the office, including organising the administration
of events and other activities such as mailings. She is also
responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the computer
networks in the office, and the production of internal communication
tools such as Europak and seminar and meeting reports.

Dominique Theunis
Clerical Assistant

Dominique works with Jeannette to provide administrative support
for the Europe Office and does much of the translation of
documents from English into French.
