External Representatives of the Europe Region WAGGGS

The Europe Region WAGGGS is continually working to develop and strengthen its links with the European institutions and other international non-governmental organisations. This work enables the Region to represent the interests of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting on an European level, and influence and contribute to issues affecting young Europeans, such as the recent White Paper on Youth.

The Europe Region WAGGGS has consultative status with the Council of Europe, is actively involved in the work of its Youth and Sports Directorate, attends consultations with the European Commission and other institutions of the European Union and is also an active member of the European Youth Forum. Working with so many different partners involves attending meetings, conferences, and working groups to ensure that the Europe Region is involved in the consultation process.

The External Representatives Pool is a small group of young women who follow issues of interest to young people in the Region, attend meetings and contribute to the position of Europe Region WAGGGS. They help us to develop relationships with these institutions and form partnerships with other international organisations also working at European level.

The members of the Pool are:

Barbara Calvi
Sandra Dybowsi
Birgitte Eriksen
Roisin Fitzgerald
Elena Jiminez i Botias (Vice President of the European Youth Forum)
Olga Sikorskaya
Tina Voncina

Heather Roy also represents the Europe Region WAGGGS – she is a member of the Advisory Council and the Programming Committee of the Council of Europe
