European seminars and workshops

A number of seminars or workshops are organised throughout the year by the Europe Region WAGGGS
. Seminars may be organised on the development of non-formal educational programmes within Associations or an Association’s external relations,   Leaders’ training or to provide more strategic support, depending on the specific needs of our Member Organisations.   They are also an opportunity for Associations to exchange experiences and develop partnerships which will assist their future work.

Click here to find out more about forthcoming seminars organised by the Europe Region WAGGGS. A detailed description of each seminar and the application process will be available in Europak (the monthly e-mailing produced jointly by the Europe Region WAGGGS and the European Scout Region) shortly before it is due to take place.

Seminars and workshops on themes of common interest are also organised jointly with the European Scout Region. Equal opportunities, the development of partnerships and Volunteering are just some of the subjects covered recently by these joint seminars. Details of all seminars together with application forms are always published in Europak several months in advance of the event.

Tool-kits

As well as holding seminars and workshops, the Europe Region WAGGGS has begun to produce a series of tool-kits as part of the support available to Associations in the Region.
The toolkits contain background information and practical exercises or advice which Associations can use to work on particular areas of development or to help them find solutions to particular problems.

The Beyond Barriers toolkit aimed at helping Associations be more inclusive towards young people with disabilities was finalised and produced jointly with the European Scout Region in April 2004 and is available by clicking this link (BB Tool Kit) or upon request from the Europe Office WAGGGS by clicking here.

A toolkit to help Associations be more inclusive towards young people with disabilities and to help Associations deal with the issue of Child Protection will be produced jointly with the European Scout Region in 2003 and will be distributed through EUROPAK when they have been completed.
